The Praetor 600 is Embraer's longer-cabin, intercontinental super-midsize jet and a charter option for travelers seeking a six-foot flat floor, four-thousand-nautical-mile planning reach and modern fly-by-wire technology. The aircraft can bridge some missions normally associated with larger jets, but payload, winds and reserves determine what is possible on the requested day.
Why the Praetor 600 remains a charter consideration
Embraer introduced the Praetor family in 2018 and certified the 600 in 2019 as an evolution of the Legacy 500. Added fuel, higher-thrust ratings, revised winglets and flight-control changes increased range; the Praetor 600E announced in 2026 is a future cabin and technology evolution with deliveries planned from 2029, not a description of every current 600.
Variant note. The 12-passenger figure requires an optional approved layout and is not the standard eight-seat completion. Praetor 600E features and Starlink connectivity are future-variant or tail-specific and are never assumed.

Inside the Praetor 600
The standard cabin seats eight passengers, while optional approved layouts reach 12 through different chair and divan combinations. The approximately 826-cubic-foot cabin measures 27 feet 6 inches long, 6 feet 10 inches wide and 6 feet high, with a flat floor, berthable executive seats, tables, forward galley and enclosed aft lavatory; Embraer publishes 155 cubic feet of total baggage, including about 45 cubic feet internal. Windows support natural light, while Wi-Fi, power, entertainment and catering equipment remain tail-specific.

Praetor 600 range, cruise speed and flight deck
Embraer publishes 4,018 nautical miles with four passengers at long-range cruise, NBAA IFR reserves and a 200-nautical-mile alternate, plus 466 KTAS high-speed cruise. Two Honeywell HTF7500E turbofans, Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics, full fly-by-wire controls, active turbulence reduction and swept winglets define the platform. A direct carrier still must validate payload, runway, winds, routing, overwater equipment and reserves.
- Range reference
- Up to 4,018 nm
- Four-passenger long-range-cruise mission with NBAA IFR reserves and a 200-nm alternate; route, payload and conditions affect actual range.
- Cruise speed reference
- Up to 466 KTAS
- Manufacturer high-speed-cruise reference; not block speed.
- Engines and efficiency context
- Two Honeywell HTF7500E turbofans
- Fuel use depends on the installed engines, thrust, altitude, payload and cruise settings. An engine model alone does not predict trip fuel use.
- Avionics
- Collins Pro Line Fusion integrated flight deck
- Aerodynamic design
- Full fly-by-wire controls with active turbulence reduction and swept winglets
