Hawker 1000 charter specifications and market context
- Aircraft class
- Super Midsize Jet
- Manufacturer
- British Aerospace; later supported under the Hawker and Textron Aviation lineage
- Category hourly planning range
- $9,500–$13,000 per billable hour
- Years manufactured
- 1990–1996 across BAe 125 Series 1000 and Hawker 1000 production
The Hawker 1000 is the stretched, long-range member of the BAe 125 family and can be considered by travelers who value a long, wide executive cabin in a mature aircraft. Airframe age, refurbishment, maintenance status and installed avionics vary considerably. So a model-page comparison should always lead to a tail-specific proposal.
Why the Hawker 1000 remains a charter consideration
British Aerospace developed the Series 1000 by stretching the 800-series fuselage and fitting Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305 engines for additional cabin length and range. Aircraft were marketed under BAe 125-1000A/1000B and Hawker 1000 identities through the mid-1990s. Later support and upgrade pathways continued under Hawker and Textron Aviation even though production was limited.
Variant note. BAe 125 Series 1000A, 1000B and Hawker 1000 designations share the basic lineage. Avionics, interiors and approved passenger layouts vary. Aftermarket connectivity availability does not mean every aircraft is equipped.

Inside the Hawker 1000
Most charter examples seat eight or nine passengers using a club group, individual seats and sometimes a divan, with executive tables, a refreshment center and a full-width aft lavatory. The reviewed cabin-only reference is approximately 634 cubic feet, 24 feet 4 inches long, 6 feet wide and about 5 feet 9 inches high.
It separates roughly 50 cubic feet of internal baggage from approximately 22 cubic feet of external stowage, rather than presenting their 72-cubic-foot sum as one universally accessible compartment. Fourteen cabin windows support natural light. Upholstery, seat articulation, power, Wi-Fi, entertainment and galley capability reflect decades of individual refurbishment choices.
- Seat configuration
- Typically 8–9 passengers in executive charter layouts
- Cabin volume
- Approximately 634 cu ft cabin-only reference
- Cabin dimensions
- 24 ft 4 in long × 6 ft wide × Approximately 5 ft 9 in high
- Baggage capacity
- Approximately 50 cu ft internal plus 22 cu ft external
The 72-cu-ft combined reference spans separate internal and external compartments; confirm the proposed tail's accessible volume, loading aperture and weight limits.
Hawker 1000 range, cruise speed and flight deck
Published planning references place the Hawker 1000 near 3,098 nautical miles, with approximately 390 KTAS cited as an average cruise reference and about 453 KTAS as a higher-speed reference. Twin PW305-series turbofans, the period Honeywell SPX-8000 flight system and a swept low wing inherited from the BAe 125 lineage define the baseline aircraft.
Because loading, runway and climb margins can matter on an older design, the direct carrier must calculate the specific trip and confirm all required navigation and communication equipment.
- Range reference
- Approximately 3,098 nm
- Model planning reference; payload, cruise profile, weather, routing and reserve assumptions affect actual range.
- Cruise speed reference
- Approximately 390–453 KTAS across average and higher-speed references
- Published sources use different average-versus-high-speed bases; neither value is a guaranteed trip-average or block speed.
- Engines and efficiency context
- Two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305B turbofans
- Fuel use depends on the installed engines, thrust, altitude, payload and cruise settings. An engine model alone does not predict trip fuel use.
- Avionics
- Honeywell SPX-8000 baseline flight system; navigation, surveillance, display and connectivity upgrades vary by tail
- Aerodynamic design
- Swept low wing with aft-mounted engines; installed aerodynamic modifications require aircraft-specific confirmation

Is the Hawker 1000 right for your charter?
A well-maintained Hawker 1000 can serve an eight- or nine-person domestic itinerary where cabin length and value matter more than the latest cabin-management technology. Jet Partners can request the type or comparable aircraft. However, the written proposal should identify the direct carrier, actual aircraft, refurbishment, connectivity, baggage fit, operational feasibility, firm price and terms.
Jet Partners compares trip-specific proposals as an air charter broker.
Confirm these details in writing
- Aircraft, cabin layout, passenger count and baggage fit.
- Named direct air carrier and available trip-specific safety information.
- Runway, payload, weather, routing and possible technical-stop limits.
- Total price, inclusions, conditional charges and cancellation terms.
The properly licensed direct air carrier identified in the proposal retains operational control and makes the final flight-operational decisions.
