Dassault flew the Falcon 7X for the first time in May 2005 and brought it to customers in 2007 as the company's first business jet designed around a digital fly-by-wire flight-control system. Eight- to fourteen-passenger charter layouts commonly divide the space into club, conference/dining and lounge or sleeping zones, with a substantial galley, multiple worktables and aft lavatory; seat shape, shower or crew-rest arrangements, window treatment, power, entertainment and Wi-Fi vary by completion.

The reviewed Dassault reference publishes 5,950 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 with eight passengers, three crew and NBAA IFR reserves, plus a Mach 0.90 maximum operating limit. Three PW307A turbofans, EASy avionics based on Honeywell Primus Epic, digital flight controls and a high-efficiency swept wing support the aircraft; Mach 0.80 converts to about 459 KTAS under ISA tropopause conditions, while actual route speed, payload and nonstop feasibility require carrier flight planning.
